The Yoga in Therapy Collective

A Membership for Therapists Integrating Yoga into Clinical Work
The Yoga in Therapy Collective

You’ve seen the limits of traditional talk therapy. You know healing doesn’t always happen in words alone. That’s why you pursued yoga training — because you wanted to bring a more embodied, somatic approach into your work.

You feel uncertain about how to bring yoga into sessions without overstepping ethics. Your clients hesitate when you suggest practices, leaving you second-guessing your approach. The reality is, most yoga trainings are built to prepare yoga teachers to lead classes — not to equip mental health therapists to bring yoga into clinical work. No wonder it feels isolating to try and merge yoga with therapy on your own, without clear guidelines.

I remember finishing my own yoga teacher training feeling inspired, yet unsure how to bring these practices into my therapy sessions.  I wondered “what’s next?” and “how and when do I bring these practices into sessions?” I struggled to figure out what would be ethical, effective, and safe — and I wished I had a community or roadmap to guide me.

That’s exactly why I created the Yoga in Therapy Collective, space designed for mental health therapists who want support, clarity, and confidence in weaving yoga into their clinical work.

About the Founder

I’m Chris McDonald, a Holistic Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and host of the Yoga in the Therapy Room Podcast. With 10  years of experience weaving trauma-informed yoga into therapy, I know the challenges therapists face when trying to bring yoga into clinical work.

I created the Yoga in Therapy Collective because I don’t want you to feel stuck, uncertain, or alone in this journey. Together, we can create a community of therapists who are grounded, supported, and empowered to use yoga in a way that changes lives — including our own.
